What the Free edition does, which Windows users it suits, and where its limitations begin.

Revo Uninstaller is a Windows utility developed by VS Revo Group. Version-sensitive features should be checked against primary documentation before a decision.

Revo Uninstaller Free features

The Free edition provides a program list, normal application removal with possible leftover inspection, Hunter Mode and tools for reviewing selected Windows maintenance areas. Hunter Mode is useful when an application is easy to identify on screen but difficult to locate in an uninstall list.

Typical removal sequence

  1. Locate the exact application and verify its publisher.
  2. Close the application and save any important work.
  3. Start its normal uninstall from the program list.
  4. After completion, examine optional leftovers individually. Do not select a broad parent folder or key just because a name matches.
  5. Restart if prompted, then verify that associated startup entries and shortcuts are gone.

Some advanced features belong to Pro. Compare them on Free vs Pro before deciding which edition to use.
